A practical Bengaluru guide
Renting a home is easier when the questions are ready.
A listing is only the start. Use the first message and visit to understand the home, the people involved, the move-in cost, and the terms you would be accepting.
Before you shortlist
Write down the parts that will decide the search: preferred locality, commute, household size, bedrooms, furnished status, parking, pets, move-in date, and the monthly budget you can carry comfortably.
- Ask whether the property is still available for a viewing.
- Ask which costs are separate from the monthly rent.
- Ask what documents or information will be needed from you.
- Ask who will be present for the visit and who will handle the agreement.
At the visit
Look beyond the room photographs. Check light, ventilation, water, mobile signal, noise, access, maintenance, parking, storage, and the parts of the building you will use every day. If a detail matters to your decision, write it down while you are there.
Before you pay
Read the agreement and confirm the people, dates, amount, deposit terms, notice period, maintenance responsibilities, repairs, and refund conditions. If a term is unclear, ask for an explanation or qualified advice before transferring money.
Ready to ask?
Share the locality, budget, property type, and move-in timeline. The property team can tell you what is actually available and what still needs confirmation.
